दुनिया बहुत सारे रहस्य समेटे हुए है |उन्ही रहस्य की कड़ीयो में आज हम पढेंगे मिस्र के पिरामिड |मिस्र के पिरामिड दुनिया के सात अजूबो में भी शामिल है ये गीजा में स्थित है इसलिए इन्हें द ग्रेट पिरामिड ऑफ गीजा भी कहते है |ये लगभग 4000 साल पहले के बने हुए है |ऐसा कहा जाता है कि गीजा का महान पिरामिड 2560 ईसा पूर्व में बनवाया गया था। इसे कूफू पिरामिड के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। इस पिरामिड को प्राचीन मिस्र के राजा कूफू के शव के संरक्षण के लिए बनाया गया था।

गीजा के ग्रेट पिरामिड की ऊंचाई करीब 450 फीट है। वहीं इस पिरामिड का जो नीचे का भाग है, वो 13 एकड़ में फैला हुआ है, जो लगभग 16 फुटबॉल के मैदान जितना बड़ा है। इस पिरामिड को बनाने में  23 लाख पत्थर ब्लॉक्स का इस्तेमाल किया गया था, जिनका वजन करीब पांच अरब 21 करोड़ किलोग्राम है। इन पत्थरों में लाइमस्टोन और ग्रेनाइट शामिल हैं।  इन पिरामिडो को बनाने में लगे पत्थर का वजन 2000 किलो से लेकर 30000  किलो तक है और कुछ पत्थर का वजन 45000 किलो तक है | हैरानी की बात तो ये है कि आज के समय में भी किसी क्रेन से अधिकतम 20 हजार किलो तक का ही वजन उठाया जा सकता है, तो उस समय 45 हजार किलो वजन का पत्थर कैसे उठाकर लाया गया होगा।

The height of the Great Pyramid of Giza is about 450 feet. The lower part of this pyramid is spread over 13 acres, which is almost as big as 16 football fields. 23 lakh stone blocks were used to build this pyramid, which weighs about 5 billion 21 crore kilograms. These stones include limestone and granite. The weight of the stones used in making these pyramids ranges from 2000 kg to 30000 kg and the weight of some stones is up to 45000 kg. The surprising thing is that even today a crane can lift a maximum weight of only 20 thousand kg, so how could a stone weighing 45 thousand kg be lifted at that time.

इन पिरामिडो के नीचे 3 तहखाने मिले है आधार तहखाना, राजा का तहखाना और रानी का तहखाना, लेकिन हैरान करने वाली बात ये है कि राजा के तहखाने में न तो राजा की ममी मिली और ना ही रानी के तहखाने में रानी की ममी, जबकि इस पिरामिड को राजा और रानी के शव के संरक्षण के लिए ही बनाया गया था।
