दोस्तों पुरे संसार में नयी साल 1 जनवरी को मनाई जाती है |  लेकिन भारतीय संस्कृति के अनुसार नयी साल चैत्र  माह के शुक्ल पक्ष की प्रतिपदा को मनाई जाती है  भारतीय संस्कृति के अनुसार इस दिन  भगवान ब्रह्मा ने सृष्टी की रचना की थी  इस दिन से ही विक्रम संवत के नए साल की शुरुआत होती है

दोस्तों इसके बहुत से कारण है (1) इस दिन ब्रह्मपुराण के अनुसार भगवान ब्रह्मा ने सृष्टी की रचना की थी  (2)सम्राट विक्र्मदित्य ने अपने नाम के संवत की शुरुआत भी इसी दिन की थी  | यही कारण है की हिन्दू नव वर्ष को विक्रम संवत के नाम से भी जाना जाता है
