होली भारत देश के प्रमुख त्योहारों में से एक है इस पर्व की शुरुआत फाल्गुन मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की पूर्णिमा तिथि के दिन हो जाती है। होली का पर्व हमारे देश में बड़ी धूम धाम से मनाया जाता है होली का त्यौहार हर भारतीय चाहे वो किसी भी धर्म या सम्प्र्दाय से जुड़ा हुआ हो आपस में मिल जुल कर रंग और गुलाल लगाकर मनाते है होली का त्यौहार प्यार प्रेम और सद भावना का प्रतिक है |इस दिन लोग आपस में बेर भाव छोडकर गले लगते है |यह त्यौहार हमे आपस में मिल जुल कर भाईचारा के साथ रहने की सीख देता है |

Holi is one of the major festivals of India. This festival starts on the full moon day of Shukla Paksha of Phalgun month. The festival of Holi is celebrated with great pomp in our country. Every Indian, no matter which religion or sect he belongs to, celebrates the festival of Holi by applying colors and gulal. It is a symbol of love and good feelings. On this day people leave each other and embrace each other. This festival teaches us to live together in brotherhood.

जब भी होली का नाम आता है तो सबसे पहले हमारे दिमाग में भक्त प्रहलाद और उसकी भुआ होलीका  का नाम आता है |पोराणिक धर्म ग्रंथो में बताया गया है की हिरण कश्यप नाम का एक असुर था उसकी एक बहन थी जिसका नाम होलिका था हिरण कश्यप के एक पुत्र था जिसका नाम था भक्त प्रहलाद | भक्त प्रहलाद बचपन से ही भगवान विष्णु का भक्त था उसका पिता उसको मना करता की तू  भगवान विष्णु की भक्ति मत किया कर | तेरे  विष्णु और मेरे में में ही बड़ा हु अगर तुझे भक्ति करनी भी है तो तू मेरी भक्ति किया कर | लेकिन दोस्तों प्रहलाद  कहा मानने वाला था वो तो दिन रात भगवान की भक्ति में लीन रहने लग गया यह सब उसके पिता से देखा नहीं गया उसने भक्त प्रहलाद को अलग अलग यातनाये देना शुरु कर दिया कभी पहाड़ो से निचे फेका तो कभी गरम तेल में पटका लेकिन भक्त प्रहलाद की भक्ति में कोई कमी नहीं आयी |आखिरकार दोस्तों हिरण कश्यप ने अपनी बहन होलिका को बुलाया |होलिका को आग में नहीं जलने का वरदान था वह भक्त प्रहलाद को गोदी में लेके आग में बैठ गयी |दोस्तों देखो ईश्वर की मर्ज़ी होलिका तो आग में जल गयी लेकिन प्रहलाद को कुछ नहीं हुआ |उसके बाद भक्त प्रह्लाद की याद में यह त्यौहार मनाया जाता है और होलिका दहन बड़ी धूम धाम से किया जाता है |

Whenever the name of Holi comes, the first thing that comes to our mind is the name of devotee Prahlad and his sister-in-law Holika. It is told in the mythological religious texts that there was a demon named Hiran Kashyap, he had a sister whose name was Holika. There was a son whose name was Bhakta Prahlad. Devotee Prahlad was a devotee of Lord Vishnu since childhood. His father used to forbid him not to worship Lord Vishnu. I am greater than you, Vishnu and me. If you have to do devotion then you do devotion to me. But friends, Prahlad was not going to agree, he started being engrossed in the devotion of God day and night, all this was not seen by his father, he started torturing the devotee Prahlad in different ways, sometimes throwing him down from the mountains and sometimes throwing him in hot oil, but There was no decrease in the devotion of devotee Prahlad. Finally, friends, Hiran Kashyap called his sister Holika. Holika had the boon of not getting burnt in the fire. She took devotee Prahlad in her lap and sat in the fire. Friends, see, by God’s will, Holika got burnt in the fire but nothing happened to Prahlad. After that, this festival is celebrated in the memory of devotee Prahlad and Holika Dahan is done with great pomp.

यह प्रसंग द्वापर युग का है कुछ पोराणिक ग्रंथो के अनुसार होली के दिन ही भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने पूतना नाम की  राक्षसी का वध किया था उसकी खुशी में सभी गांव वालों ने होली का पर्व हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया था

कुछ पोराणिक ग्रंथो के अनुसार आज ही के दिन भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने गोपियों के साथ रास-लीला रचाई थी और अगले दिन रंग वाली होली खेली थी

धार्मिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार इस पर्व को बुराई पर अच्छाई की जीत के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इस दिन सभी लोग आपसी मतभेद भुलाकर एक दूसरे को रंग लगाते हैं, जिसमें लाल रंग को बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता है। ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि लाल रंग प्यार और सौहार्द का प्रतीक माना जाता है। जिससे आपसी प्रेम और स्नेह बढ़ता है।

On this day, everyone forgets their differences and applies color to each other, in which red color is considered very important. This is because red color is considered a symbol of love and harmony. Due to which mutual love and affection increases.
