इसका पूरा नाम ROYAL MAIL SHIP था | इसको WHITE STAR LINE कम्पनी ने बनाया था इस जहाज को बनाने की शुरुआत 31 मार्च 1909 को हुई थी |इसको बनने में लगभग 26 महीने लगे थे |तथा यह जहाज 31 मई 1911 को बनकर तैयार हुआ था | इसको 3000 लोगो की टीम ने मिलकर बनाया था |

Its full name was ROYAL MAIL SHIP. It was built by the WHITE STAR LINE company. The construction of this ship started on 31 March 1909. It took about 26 months to build it and this ship was completed on 31 May 1911. It was created by a team of 3000 people.

टाइटेनिक जहाज दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा वाष्प चलित यात्री जहाज था जो अपने पहले ऐतिहासिक सफर में ही सबसे बड़ी समुद्री आपदा का शिकार हो गया |टाइटैनिक अपने समय का सबसे बड़ा और सबसे आलीशान यात्री जहाज था। यह 269 मीटर लंबा, 28 मीटर चौड़ा और 53 मीटर से अधिक ऊंचा था, जो लंदन में नेल्सन कॉलम और बेलफास्ट सिटी हॉल के बराबर ऊंचाई है। इसमें दस डेक, तीन इंजन थे और इसकी भट्टियों में 600 टन से अधिक कोयला जलता था।जब पहली बार ये सफर पर निकला तो 1300 यात्री और 900 चालक दल के लोग इस पर सवार थे. लग्जरी जहाज की टिकट काफी महंगी थी. उस वक्त फर्स्ट क्लास की टिकट का दाम30 पाउंड, सेकंड क्लास का 13 पाउंड और थर्ड क्लास का 7 पाउंड  था  |

The Titanic ship was the world’s largest steam-powered passenger ship, which became the victim of the biggest maritime disaster in its first historical journey. Titanic was the largest and most luxurious passenger ship of its time. It was 269 meters long, 28 meters wide and over 53 meters high, which is the same height as Nelson’s Column in London and Belfast City Hall. It had ten decks, three engines and burned more than 600 tons of coal in its furnaces. When it set out for the first time, there were 1300 passengers and 900 crew on board. The luxury plane ticket was very expensive.  At that time the price of first class ticket was 30 pounds, second class was 13 pounds and third class was 7 pounds.

यह जहाज  31 मई, 1911 को लॉन्च हुआ और 10 अप्रैल, 1912 को साउथेम्प्टन से 2,240 यात्रियों और चालक दल के साथ अपनी पहली यात्रा पर रवाना हुआ। 15 अप्रैल, 1912 को, एक हिमखंड से टकराने के बाद, टाइटैनिक टूट गया और समुद्र के तल में डूब गया, जिसमें 1,500 से अधिक यात्रियों और चालक दल के लोगों की जान चली गई।इस जहाज की टक्कर एक विशाल हिमखंड से हुई थी, उस वक्त ये तेज गति में अटलांटिक सागर को पार कर रहा था. हिमखंड से टक्कर के बाद जहाज डूब गया. इसमें पानी भर गया  और जिन वॉटरटाइट कंपार्टमेंट्स की दीवारों को सुरक्षा कवच माना गया था, वो नष्ट हो गईं. करीब पांच वॉटरटाइट कमरों में पानी भर गया. ऐसा कहा जाताहै कि उस वक्त का स्टील मजबूत नहीं था जब जहाज की हिमखंड के साथ टक्कर हुई, तो उसका ढांचा बदल गया दरवाजे भी बंद नहीं हो पा रहे थे |

On April 15, 1912, after hitting an iceberg, the Titanic broke up and sank to the bottom of the ocean, killing more than 1,500 passengers and crew. The ship collided with a huge iceberg, At that time it was crossing the Atlantic Ocean at high speed. The ship sank after colliding with an iceberg. It filled with water and the walls of the watertight compartments that were supposed to be protective, She was destroyed. About five watertight rooms were flooded. It is said that the steel of that time was not strong and when the ship collided with an iceberg, its structure changed and even the doors were not able to close.

टाइटैनिक जहाज हादसे से कुछ महीने पहले की बात है, जब ग्रीनलैंड के एक हिस्से में ग्लेशियर का 500 मीटर का बड़ा टुकड़ा उससे अलग हो गया. ये हवा और समुद्रके जरिए दक्षिण की तरफ जाने लगा. फिर 14 अप्रैल तक 125 मीटर का हो गया था. साल 1912 की 14 अप्रैल की उसी रात को इसकी टाइटैनिक से टक्कर हो गई. फिर चार घंटे के भीतर ही जहाज डूब गया. तब जहाज की रफ्तार 41 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा थी. वो इंग्लैंड के साउथम्पैटन से अमेरिका के न्यूयॉर्क शहर की तरफ तेजी से बढ़ रहा था घटना के वक्त इसमें 2200 लोग सवार थे. हादसे में 1500 लोगों की मौत हो गई. इसे आज तक का सबसे बड़ा समुद्री हादसा कहा जाता है |

Then by April 14, it had reached 125 meters. On the same night of April 14, 1912, it collided with Titanic. Then the ship sank within four hours. At that time the speed of the ship was 41 kilometers per hour. It was moving fast from Southampton, England, towards New York City, America. At the time of the incident, there were 2200 people on board.  1500 people died in the accident. This is said to be the biggest maritime accident till date.
